(Photo: Mojang.com) Yay! 1.6 is out (well, kinda, it's the snapshot, officially due July 1st). In order to try out the snapshot, all you have to do is download the new launcher and run it. To get back to 1.5.2, just run the old launcher. I downloaded the launcher, it's the easiest pre-release I've ever downloaded, I even told my friend how to do it over the phone! We've been doing some testing and checking out the new update and I gotta say it's awesome. Here's what's in the update:
*Added horses (biggest part of the update!) There are 7 base colours
and 5 marking variations, all up there are 35 combinations, WOW! Not to
mention you can suit them up in badass horse armor! (can only be found in dungeon chests.)

*If you thought horses and horse armor where enough, there are also donkeys and mules (donkey and horse cross breed)! Even though they are not as fast or have as much health, if you right-click them with a chest, you can use them to store extra stuff on your expeditions!
* Speaking of dungeon chests, they can now be found in nether fortresses, yay!
*Added leads, which means you can bring your wolf (or any animal for that matter) on a lead or leash and then connect that to a fence.
*Speaking of animals, now you can name that wolf (or any animal) anything you want with name tags. If you find one in a dungeon chest, you rename it with an anvil and then right click with an animal and BAM, name that horse the most badass name ever!
*Hay Bales, nuff said.
*Carpets, slim pieces of wool that fit on your floor.
*Blocks of coal (bout damn time!) They smelt 72 blocks (how much 9 coal would smelt on their own.)
*Harded Clay and Stained Clay, think of it almost as a new wool. Finally a reason to get this brick-making beauty!
*Weird food upgrade thing I don't understand.
*Lava goes away much quicker (again, bout damn time!)
*Texture packs are leaving (NOOOOOO!!!!!1!!!) in it's place, resource packs. Basically this means not only can you add textures, but custom sounds as well, so all you 1D fans can listen to them while playing minecraft (*facepalm*)
*Oh yeah, they removed herobrine.
